When I am commissioned to produce a painting, it is a privilege for me to embark on a journey with my clients as they describe their vision of what their heart longs to see on canvas. It is not always the simplicity of what lies directly before their eyes in a scene, object or person that they seek to capture. Rather, it is the details that they add to create the fullness of something they have imagined to be beautiful or intriguing. The story behind the paint is held only by those who are allowed in to understand it.

 

My primary goal is to seek understanding of what is desired and what is being expressed so that I can more easily transfer what I’ve gained from such insight onto canvas. Often times, several art pieces I’ve done have been the product of a combination of many different photographs and color palettes that are far different than that of the original scene. I am happy to accommodate any requests you may have or provide suggestions as needed. 

 

As I work on the painting, I will share my journey on the canvas and respond to feedback, making any changes as required.
